Brit the doula
Brit the doula
Just Brit, Your Postpartum Doula & Gentle Guide into Parenthood
Welcoming a new baby is a beautiful, life-altering shift—one that deserves deep care, tender support, and a steady presence to lean on. Brit offers just that.
With expertise spanning 24/7 live-in, overnight, and flexible postpartum care, Brit’s approach is rooted in warmth, knowledge, and unwavering support. Whether guiding new parents through baby care basics (diapering, swaddling, newborn sleep, feeding support) or tending to the physical and emotional healing of birthing persons, she brings a sense of calm and reassurance to the transition into parenthood.
Aligned with the Slow Doula Method, Brit believes in moving with intention—meeting emotions with compassion, validating fears and anxieties, and creating space for parents to feel empowered in their choices. Her care is deeply respectful, always centering the needs of the birthing person and their family with kindness, patience, and presence.
As a Queer/Trans-Inclusive, Gender-Affirming, and Trauma-Informed Doula, Brit is committed to advocacy and equity in birthwork, with a focus on addressing disparities in BIPOC maternal and infant health. She also has a long history of mental health advocacy (Depressed Cake Shop (2017), Stigma Project (2021)) and is prepared to offer emotional support and resources to those navigating the complexities of new parenthood.
Beyond birthwork, Brit is an artist at heart—a painter, a cake designer, an author who finds joy in storytelling through various creative forms. She also enjoys reading, embroidery, yoga, the quiet adventure of solo travel and thinks her Nieces are the absolute greatest.
No matter where you are in your postpartum journey, Brit is here to help you move through it with confidence, care, and a deep sense of support.
